A message from the Headteacher, Mr Tim Wherry:
A very warm welcome to Bugle School website.
Bugle School is set in the heart of the Cornish clay area and close to the town of St Austell. We provide a happy, safe and caring environment for all. Parents, staff and governors aim together to provide our children with the best opportunities possible to develop independent skills required for everything that their future holds.
Our logo is ‘learning together by including’ which celebrates the diverse cultures of our community. There are 189 children on roll and a further 73 children attending the Piccolo Early Years Group.
We would welcome the opportunity to show you how special we are, by inviting you to come and see for yourself. For appointments, please contact the school office.
Bugle School is situated in the heart of the Cornish 'clay area' close to the town of St Austell. The school consists of seven classrooms, a library, school hall/canteen and swimming pool. The school occupies a large secluded site being surrounded by trees and grassed areas.
There have been many recent alterations to improve the learning environment including the expansion of the grassed and hard court play areas. Two classrooms have been refurbished and a further classroom added to the main building. The classrooms are well equipped and furnished. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and there are wireless networked laptops for use by all year groups.
Visitors are always welcome at the school and we have regular visits from the local clergy and a range of aid workers. The school supports a major national charity event each term and regularly collects for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children’s Hospice South West.
Bugle School is a school that has high expectations of pupils and staff.
