At Bugle School we use Charanga to support the teaching of music. This is an online music scheme provided by Cornwall Music Services with lots of visual aids and interactive resources to support children's learning about music.
At Bugle School, our intent is that children:
- access a wide and varied curriculum which motivates them to enjoy and succeed in music
- have opportunity to explore a range of different musical instruments and feel confident to develop their ability both individually and through collaborative working with others
- develop musical knowledge and skills through appraising, performing and composing
- develop an appreciation of musical traditions within the community and across different cultures
We are fortunate to have a visiting Specialist Music Teacher who has worked with the school for many years. Miss Minear teaches music to each class on a termly basis and this year will provide whole class tuition for singing, recorders, and brass.
